The Joe Rocket Briton glove is an all-leather “retro” styled glove with some decent protective features and a waterproof liner.

The leather used in these gloves is sort of matte finish and have a pre-distressed look to them… in other words, made to look old when new. They are attractive and comfortable to wear. The knuckle protector seems robust too. It’s the typical molded type with foam on the back side the make them comfortable. The accordion leather on the back of the hand gives them the retro look (IMHO). There is a double leather patch in the palm of the hand with an equally “retro” looking stitch pattern. The padding under that patch is minimal.

The waterproof liner will keep water out of this glove and will give just a bit of warmth since there is an inside fleecy liner and the waterproof liner will block wind. So this glove will be just a bit more functional than a plain leather glove going into fall and in the early spring. They should also work fine in warmer weather.

I really don’t think these would be a good choice if you frequently ride in rain. They are a short cuff design which isn’t good for keeping water out and also the distressed leather used probably won’t hold up to frequent soakings. But if you think it would be useful for just the occasional time you might get caught in a shower, then these will be far better than a plain leather glove
